So, it was an interesting start to Summer 2014. And by interesting, I mean the following occurred:
While my better half luckily already had a job lined up, me, on the other hand...
Well, let's just say there aren't too many times in my life that I quit a job with nothing to grab onto next.
What I told myself periodically throughout our cross-country trip was this oft-quoted saying by Thomas Jefferson: with great risk comes great reward. A cliche, but true still. For the past few years, I've been in a state of professional transition, and moving to Seattle seemed like the best place to grow. I had to trust in my skills, my previous experiences, as well as the wonderful people I've met because of Twitter, to get me further along in the process.
I'm very excited to announce that my journey has brought me to the University of Washington's Web Team, where I'll be helping implement an immense brand refresh. I can't think of a better start in a new career, a new city, a new phase of life.
You'll find me dabbling where business, technology, and content convene.
